Before Richard Donner directed “Superman” and the “Lethal Weapon” series; prior to George Takei and William Shatner boldly going to places where no one had gone before; and before Lee Marvin was Major Reisman in “The Dirty Dozen,” they all entered another dimension of sight and sound in Rod Serling’s classic anthology series, “The Twilight Zone.” The show’s fifth and final season is scheduled for a Blu-ray/DVD release on Sept. 3, according to a press release email.
“The Twilight Zone: The Complete Fifth Season” will feature all 36 episodes and a plethora of special features, including:
· 20 New Audio Commentaries
· Conversations with Rod Serling
· Vintage Audio Interview with director of photography George T. Clemens
· 22 Radio Dramas
· Audio Commentaries
· Video Interviews
· Isolated Music Scores
· The Mike Wallace Interview (September 1959)
· And much more!
Several of the episodes in this set include “Steel,” which became the inspiration for the Hugh Jackman film “Real Steel,” and the classic “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” which was later remade in “Twilight Zone: The Movie” with John Lithgow as the lead character.
