The extended edition of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" will hit the big screen for the first time as part of the Twilight Forever Fan Experience. New York City will host the event, which spans two days and will lead up to the release of Twilight Forever: The Complete Saga on Blu-Ray and DVD November 5. Lionsgate, Summit Entertainment(which is a Lionsgate company), and Planet Hollywood announced the collaborative event today, which also marks the fifth anniversary of the release of the original "Twilight" film.
All five films in the "Twilight" franchise will screen one after the other, marathon style, on November 3. The marathon, which has already sold out, will take place at the Regal E-Walk Stadium 13 Cineplex in New York. The original "Twilight" kicks off at 9am EST. Fans hoping for additional ticket releases can be added to the wait list.
The following day, the Planet Hollywood in Times Square will debut the Twilight Forever Fan Experience Exhibit. The exhibit features such actual film props as Jacob's motorcycle, Edward's tuxedo and Bella's wedding dress. The celebration to debut the exhibit will begin Monday, November 4 at 6pm EST. Special guests and musical performances for the event have not yet been announced.
Based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling young adult fiction, "The Twilight Saga" series of films grossed more than $3 billion at the global box office. For the first time, all five films will be packaged together in one set, along with all of the special features from each film release. Two hours of all-new exclusive content will round out the Twilight Forever: The Complete Saga set, spanning 10 Blu-Rays or 12 DVDs. The set hits store shelves on November 5.
