The Tuck Rule has been wiped out

March 20, 2013-NFL owners voted Wednesday to remote the Tuck Rule at the league meeting in Pheonix. Now that the rule has been eliminated, quarterbacks who pump fake and lose the ball while trying to bring the ball back to their torso will now be considered a fumble. Too bad it's too late for the Raiders. The Tuck Rule would have ruled this action as an incompletion.

The Raiders are forever linked to this rule due to the Divisional game against the Patriots in 2002. Tom Brady was ruled to have thrown an incomplete pass after dropping the ball when he was bit by Charles Woodson of the Raiders. After this, the Patriots went on to tie the game with a field goal, then winning in overtime.

Although, it has not effected many games since then, it is a rule that needed to be corrected due to it's nature and that well, it should be a fumble.
