Summer will exit with one last phenomenal burst, as The Blank Club will host a colossal night of pop/rock chock full of ass-shaking with a distinctive two-fold purpose.
On August 29th, The Blank Club will play host to a young acts next effort and an older acts resurgence, as local post-punk dance trailblazers The Trims hold a E.P. release party for the much anticipated “Vida.” After a spattering of video releases and a highly successful Spring/Summer, the quartet is touting a revolutionary turn and fresh sound on the new collection. The release will feature the self-titled, Spanish-language, "Now You're Gone, " and more, brand new tracks.
Also equally note-able, support for the San Jose foursome will be provided by East Bay’s own storied, techno-pop icons, The Lovemakers. The Lovemakers went on an extended hiatus (some would call it a break-up) in 2007, but after a reunion show on Valentine’s Day of this year, the duo of Scott Blonde (guitar, vocals) and Lisa Light (vocals, bass) will resurrect the act. It will be the act's first appearance at The Blank Club since 2006.
Not to be outdone, in-house spinner, DJ Basura will kick off the festivities, and this summer's last gasp should satiate through this year's winter.
