The totalitarian effects of Obama's Health Care Plan (Video)

Do you trust this man with your life?
Tell me where it hurts. Is it your wallet?  I'll remove it!

The book of Revelation speaks of a time when all commerce will be restricted by a world government.

Although we have not yet reached that pivotal point in human history, few devices facilitate the installation of such control over mankind better that the provisions contained in Health Care Bill H.R.3200.

H.R.3200 contains provisions which will irreversibly alter the ability of Americans to make life and death decisions and will set a legal precedent  which will give the federal government complete and total control over every aspect of our lives.

We have never been so close to totalitarian government in America as we are now with the prospect of the passage of H.R.3200.

The governor of Idaho has signed a measure requiring the state attorney general to sue the federal government if residents are forced to buy health insurance and 37 other states are moving forward with similar legislation.

Although unbelievers cannot fathom the type of total control over their lives as has been prophesied in the book of Revelation, the prospect will move one step closer to becoming a reality with the passage of this bill. A mandatory national ID card will be required by HR 3200. This bill will also expand the power of the IRS. The government will have the legal means by which your bank account can be accessed, and you will have no recourse but to submit.

  Revelation 13:16-17

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

If H.R.3200 is allowed to pass, no one will be able to slow the process down and none will be able to stop it. The declaration of war on the people of the United States by their government will become official.

Two things: the True Believer should have no concerns over the musings in Revelation. What will come, will come. After all, aren't you scheduled to reign with Christ when he returns? Hmmm....

Second, the truth is, John the Revelator was referring to the Roman Empire. It did, indeed, restrict all commerce. And it did indeed fall. John got it right. And that is the end of the story. Even early Christians argued over whether the Book of Revelation should even be included in the New Testament canon for that very reason (among others). Finally, in 396 CE, the darn thing was completed and accepted. Much later for the Eastern Church.

Point? The Reagan Doctrine, the Bush Doctrine, even the Eisenhower Doctrine were far closer to being apocalyptic than anything Pres. Obama has introduced. The Book of Revelation had its moment in the sun. Time to move on.

Just my view. Have a great life.

Richard: You assume much. I have no concern as you might imagine. I bear witness.

Your assumption that the prophecies of Revelation 13 saw ultimate completion during the Empire of Rome is flawed. Much of that prophecy did not come to pass in the day of Roman supremacy. One can indeed see many fulfillments of Bible prophecy in history. The final iteration of that prophecy is yet to come.

To make the statement that "...that is the end of the story" shows arrogance to say the least.

Arguments as to the canonization of the book of Revelation have been made moot by the fact that God had the last say in the matter. The proof is in the pudding.

I do admit that GW Bush was as close to an Antichrist as any leader America has had hitherto. Obama shares many characteristics one could expect from the Son of Perdition also.

Thanks for your views. I hope to have a better afterlife.

It's seemingly never-ending, the 'interpretations' of the Revelations to John. Do we flip a coin? Or wait and see? Often, I think, it's best to 'step back' and be careful not to jump too fast to a conclusion about the meaning of such revelations. Much of John's book is about visions he saw and glimpes of things in these visions, and things he was instructed to write down. These things, I believe, were to be understood in the Spirit, both then and today, and in the future - if the Lord delays His return. It's a mistake to adhere to a literal interpretation of this book, but rather to see such writings of Scripture (also the prophetic books of the 'Old Testamant') as veritably timeless, useful for teaching and giving warning to all generations. Remember, God is not confined by our concept of time, for He created time to give us structure for this earthly life. Heaven is not a long time, but 'without' time.

Have you ever heard of Grattan Guinness' 'The End of The Ages', or Hislop's 'Two Babylons'? W hat about all four enormous volumes of Eliott's 'Horae Apocalypticae'..? Have you read the original three volumes of Foxe's ‘Book of Martyrs’, 1684, with its lavish and horrifying illustrations, as I have, in the British Library?

Historists claim that John's Revelation was of things "shortly to come to pass" and were chiefly associated with the true Christian's persecutions by the Roman Empire, and it's decay into the religious tyranny which was the Holy Roman Empire. The head which was chopped off and became a multi-headed beast. The Beast and "The Harlot" who influences 'The King's Of the Earth', etc... The Holy See was in bed with Hitler and his 1000 year Reich...(Ante Christ: Latin: 'ruling in the place of Christ'') the Messiah. Not Anti - as in 'against' that would be far to obvious to the true church and an insult to Satan - who was a son of God and there when the universe was created, as cosmologists now admit 'from nothing'.. The true church would be seduced by her charms, if possible, even the chosen ones, the Brothers of Christ.
