There's no doubt about it.
Kate Middleton's royal wedding dress is the hands down, #1 dress of 2011. Created by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, the dress is classically elegant and fit for any princess.
The dress had full, hand tatted irish lace sleeves, a modest V neck and corseted ballgown shape.
To copy Kate's dress.. check out Monique Lhuillier. While not identical, Monique had been making the Kate Middleton style long before it was popular.
Monique is also the queen of lace and full sleeved dresses.
This style is a depararture from other trends for 2011, which include mermaid shaped dresses, illusion sleeves, strapless gowns, keyhole cutouts, and tinted satins.
The looks is much more traditional and demure than most other looks, and has started a trend towards wedding gowns with sleeves.
