Many credit card issuers offer generous programs to entice big spenders and frequent travelers, but the best cards always offer anywhere from one to five miles for each dollar spent and unlimited miles. Of course, the best card for you is always the one that offers bonus miles that cater to your spending. The following 3 credit cards are my top choices for big spenders and frequent travelers. Before choosing your card, be sure check your interest rate and make sure that you are actually benefiting. I always recommend paying your balance at the end of the month. If that’s not possible be sure to monitor your interest rate to ensure you are not paying $1,000 in interest to earn a free $500 flight.

The Capital One VentureOne Rewards Card offers many travel benefits and is my top choice for travelers and big spenders. You receive 1.25 miles for every dollar spent and a 10,000 mile bonus for spending $1,000 in the first three months. This card currently offers a zero percent interest rate on transfers until February 2014 and no annual fee. Most importantly, your miles never expire and you can earn unlimited miles. This card also offers preferential booking benefits on flights and hotel rooms.

2. Chase Sapphire Preferred

You receive one point on all purchases and you can transfer points. You also receive one point on all balance transfers and a 20 percent discount on all travel redeemed through travel rewards. Chase offers two points on travel spending whether it’s on airline tickets, trains, taxis, and more. Additional benefits are two points for every dollar spent at restaurants on dining that includes anything from fine dining to fast food. For new members you can receive 40,000 points if you spend $3,000 in the first three months. Chase also offers a always-on travel advisor and a simple process for redeeming your miles.

3. Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Card

This card currently offers zero percent interest for a year with no annual fee. You’ll earn one Starpoint for every dollar spent on the card and five points on participating hotels and resorts participating in the SPG program. You’ll also receive 10,000 Starpoints after your first purchase and an additional 15,000 more if you spend $5,000 in the first six months. There are no blackout dates and no limit on miles earned. You can use your miles at over 1,100 hotels and resorts and 350 different airlines. You can also receive free room upgrades at participating resorts.
