Avid TV watchers are gearing up for an exciting weekend discovering Showtime’s cast of characters. The network will offer a free preview of Showtime On Demand this weekend, and XFINITY TV customers can discover any one of Showtime’s award-winning shows. 1) Dexter
(Michael Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, and Julie Benz)
A modern day Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dexter Morgan (Michael Hall) is a police forensics expert who moonlights as a serial killer. While fans wait for Dexter’s eighth and final season to air, season 7 ended with Dexter’s true colors almost exposed, compromising his relationship with his sister, Deb Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter).
2) Homeland
(Claire Danes, Damian Lewis)
Nominated for a 2013 Golden Globe, the psychological thriller pulled an average 4.4 million viewers during its second season. The drama follows CIA operative Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and Iraq War veteran and U.S. Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) Mathison has come to believe that Brody, held captive by al-Qaeda, has been turned and now threatens the United States.
3) Shameless
(William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, and Cameron Monaghan)
Veteran William H. Macy plays a hard-partying Chicago dad in this Americanized version of a British TV phenomenon. From waking up in strange places to an adult daughter with parenting skills, the comedy-drama is one wild ride. The season three premiere of Shameless airs Sunday, January 13.
