The Top Five songs at Alternative Rock radio remain the same

According to data compiled by Mediabase and reported by All Access, the Top Five most-played and most-heard tracks at Alternative Rock radio for the tracking week ending New Year’s Day 2013 remain the same as the week ending Christmas Day.

With many stations relying on automated programming during the holidays, having an unchanged charts this time of year is not unusual. Many artists hold off on releasing and promoting new songs until right after the holidays to ensure they do not get lost in the shuffle as the formats prepare for the beginning of the next year.
