When the Top 40 were announced in their entirety, no act was cited as a cause for outrage more than Coney Island Chris.
His act should really speak for itself. Even featured briefly in a montage, Allison upset many. When asked what he would do, he announced that he would eat a lightbulb, then stretched out the act by telling toilet jokes about the broken glass and wires coming out of him. Then, while chewing up the lightbulb, Allison apparently bit into a capsule that made it appear that he was spitting blood.
Many viewers expressed their frustration that Allison had even made it into Vegas at all. So the judges did what they always do with their abominations: they included him in the Top 40.
I cannot be any kinder than this: This is literally an act for which there is no hope of surviving the first round. If the Top 40 were listed from most the most talented and entertaining to the least, Allison would be ranked third from the bottom.
The only thing Allison can do at this point is save face, or at least take precautions to make sure he is not remembered as the absolute worst contestant to ever appear on AGT.
The best thing he could honestly do at this point is pull out of the competition and force the judges to implement another wildcard vote to fill his seat. America hates that he is in the Top 40 and will never vote him any further than the judges placed him, but they will only hate Allison as a person if he fails to recognize this.

What are you talking about? Do you really claim to speak for the entirety of the United States? That level of ego is simply astounding.
You watched a 15 second, highly edited segment of one piece of material, and not only condemned it, but determined that every single individual in the country felt the same as you. Holy crap.
If you don't like Chris, fine; the reality is that he and his act are very popular, award winning in fact.
I agree with you Giandeau! I've seen great side show performances and I'm enducated to the fact that what we saw from Chris Allison was just a small piece of his act and what he can do! Maybe before you go and speak for everyone in America you should research his resume and see his accomplishments. While you're at it, why don't you save face and shut up!
Guys, he spat fake blood during his act. Would you have voted through a performer that could injure himself without your awareness?
Trust me, I waited a long time before moving to declare Allison the most hated. I would have thought David Johnson or Carol Lugo would be the most hated, but for some reason it's Allison that hundreds of people registered on the NBC message boards just to complain about.
Don't forget that those fifteen seconds I based my review upon are the same fifteen seconds that the rest of America got to see.
Based on what happened with Manuela Horn last night, I don't even believe the judges will let Allison finish his performance. Horn did everything right that a performer in her position could have done, but the judges still X'd her out for it. Allison is in very much the same position, so he may want to consider consolidating his losses, accept that his first performance will be his last and at least leave with a little dignity intact.
