This article series is counting down the top 20 things learning professionals should be thankful for. The last two articles counted down items 20-16 and 15-11. The next article will list items 5-1. See if you agree. If not, please comment so that the person or item you, as a learning professional, are thankful for receives proper recognition.
10. Google – The ultimate learning tool that delivers JIT (just in time) information where it is needed and when it is needed.
9. Books – The essential documentation and delivery vehicle for much of the knowledge that exists in the world.
8. Amazon.com – Finally, books made easy. No more snail mail book clubs, fruitless trudges to book stores, and difficulties comprehending what a book is about before ordering it. Amazon.com made the acquisition of knowledge easy.
7. Speakers – Those individuals who travel the world over delivering knowledge and inspiration at our meetings. They lift us all up.
6. Trainers – Those selfless individuals who forsake high powered careers so that they can devote themselves to the lowly new hire who one day will be their boss.
