Arcadian Broad is finished. He almost does not even justify having had this article written about him.
One could spend hours trying to analyze why Thia Megia, one of three top contenders, wound up at the mercy of the judges during the first round of eliminations, but what did Broad do to deserve standing there? Nothing. America’s judgment upon Broad was a judgment upon the nature of the act itself. A thirteen-year-old ballet semi-professional ballet dancer is not America’s idea of a million dollar act.
Broad has the benefit of spoiler votes, but just as he did in the quarter finals, he will be competing directly for those spoiler votes with other young acts. Broad only had Lake Houston Dance to contend with for this vote in the quarter finals, but in the semifinals he will be competing against the Voices of Glory, and coming off of a 5th-6th finish against a Garth Brooks impersonator and a grumpy old comedian, you can bet that the great majority of those spoiler voters will be throwing their support behind the Voices of Glory instead.
Also, as has been mentioned before in past articles, spoiler categories often overlap, so Broad will also have Kevin Skinner, Grandma Lee, the Texas Tenors, the Fab Five, and to a lesser extent, Tony Hoard & Rory to worry about as well.
Ever since AGT first allowed the judges to choose the 5th or 6th place finisher to advance, no act selected by the judges has ever made a successful comeback. Coming off of a poor first round showing and into a spoiler-filled semifinal round, the odds of Broad being the first exception are slim to none.
Have fun Arcadian. It’s the only thing you can do.

I liked when Arcadian mentioned that the producers told him what to do for his act. And boy did the judges shut him up quick. It begs the question, why are the judges criticizing people for song choice, theme choice, etc, when it's not even their choice? One act last season said the same thing, the producers pick the outfits, the song, everything. So much for 'reality' tv.
How can any non-professional put together an act with costumes and choreagraphy without the assistance of producers? I doubt they could, and anything they did come up with would not be that exciting. In "reality" every "star" has a squad of people handling choreagraphy, costumes, and material selection. AGT is for measuring the core talent. I agree that the judges shouldn't criticize what the contestants have no choice on.
Anyway, Mr. Broad comes across a bit bratty and pouty.
Toughen up boy.
Either go ballet all the way, or start working on some other material and styles. People just aren't that interested in watchng a skinny boy prance around jumping and spinning on stage. Not to be mean but thats the truth.
what arcadian does is artistic, something lost in current pop culture. all it is IS a bunch of producers telling the talent, and in most cases marginal talent, what to do (britney lip syncs, cant sing - ashlee simpson lip syncs and gets a billion dollar record deal, people think dane cook is funny, etc).
arcadian has a classical talent very few people in this world. a combination of both classical pianist and dancing. id love to see katy perry play one note on a piano.
in a talentless world we live in, arcadian shines.
AGT is supposed to be a talent show, of raw talent. Not a sideshow of what ideas producers think they can piece together.
Besides, none of these acts should be on the strip. It is a slap to the face to real entertainers like Penn & Teller.
Shame on the producers for telling a talent like Arcadian what to do I have seen what he can do he is more than able to produce himself. And shame on you nay sayers. Arcadian brings joy and hope for the future.
