Snow bases are approaching their maximums for the season. Some may thicken, but many have reached a plateau. Following are the Top 15 deepest settled snow bases in North America as measured by the ski areas at their mid/upper mountains on March 21, 2013.

#8 Eaglecrest Ski Area, Ala. - 142 inches

#7 Timberline Lodge, Ore. - 154 inches

#6 Boreal Mountain Resort, Calif. - 160 inches

#5 Soda Springs, Calif. - 160 inches

It's no surprise that most of the ski areas in the Top 10 are located in either the maritime Cascades or Sierra Nevada ranges.
