Jimmy Fallon owns late night. The Tonight Show’s new host did an excellent job last night on his first show as the newly crowned “Tonight’s Show” host, a gig that previously belong to Jay Leno. The best decision that Jimmy ever made since taking over was to bring the show back to New York after 40 years of being in L.A.
Jimmy was very humble , gracious and a little bit nervous asking everyone if they like the new set and thanking everybody from the announcer to the band “The Roots”, who will be accompanying him on the show. He also introduced his parents before starting his monologue. You could tell that he was a little bit emotional but held it together really well.
His first guest on the show was Will Smith and his first musical guest was the band U2, who performed on the rooftop of Rockefeller Center to a backdrop of New York City that looked like a postcard, unbelievably beautiful. They also performed an acoustic version of their Oscar nominated song “Ordinary Love” in the studio.
The show was a lot fun to watch and we know that once Jimmy gets past those first episodes jitters he will do an even better job.
