The Tomato Man, Bill Adams, Speaks on Veggie Gardening March 18

Bill Adams, the famous Tomato Man of Texas, will speak on vegetable gardening and tomato growing at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 18 at The Grand Theatre, 100 North Charles St. in Old Town Lewisville. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Adams is a popular speaker, experienced radio and TV personality and former gardening columnist for the Houston Chronicle. He spent 31 years as horticulture agent for Harris County and has authored numerous books, including The Texas Tomato Lover’s Handbook and The Southern Kitchen Garden. A native of Oklahoma, Adams learned to garden from his grandmother and later earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in horticulture from Oklahoma State University. His presentation is sponsored by the Denton County Master Gardener Association.
