The Tired and True, putting the punk back into New Englands pop-punk scene

See also

It's true that I'm a sucker for pop-punk, and an even bigger fan of the edgier bands in that genre, and Connecticut's The Tired and True fit that mold. Straight from the days of Drive-Thru Records dominance, and the days when New Found Glory still believed in fast songs and heavy distortion comes The Tired and True. The band brings the aggression with catchy melodies, heavy drums, lyrics full of the problems we've all faced giving us that personal connection that pop-punk is known for. Kurt Zikaras' vocals are catchy and angst-ridden all in one perfect combination. In covering the New England scene we find a lot of artists from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont so these Connecticut boys are doing their state proud. You can check them out on Facebook and be the judge for yourself. My recommendation would be that you do so.
