It’s that time of year again when the chefs go toque to toque in the Third Annual Chef’s Challenge sponsored by The Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce. It all happens on November 7 at 6 p.m. at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa. The event is limited to ten chefs who will showcase their special dishes.
To date, participating restaurant chefs are from: Sirena, Ocean Place Resort and Spa, Avenue, SAWA, Rooney’s, Tre Amici, Johnny Piancone’s, Tuzzio’s and the Draft House. Judging will be by a three-member panel of industry specialists. All attendees will be able to sample each of the chef’s entries. There will be an additional “People’s Choice” judging by the guests. Awards will be presented that evening in both categories, professional and people’s choice.
During the competition, several other restaurants and food purveyors will be demonstrating and sampling, among these are: Rook, MIX Lounge, Cake Bake and Roll and Rocky Mountain Chocolate. R & R Marketing and Shore Point Distributors will be offering samples of wine and various libations to go along with the food. Court Liquors will also be offering samples of various microbreweries at the event.
In addition, the Chamber will showcase local interior designers, decorators and florists who will be responsible for all the table designs. Design New Jersey will judge their designs
