This past Saturday, Oct 12 was a beautiful fall day for the Yellow Springs Street Fair, and The Tenth Life was there with a great selection of catnip toys, shirts and accessories, cards and other great items! The volunteers were kept busy with a steady stream of shoppers. At The Tenth Life booth, volunteers answered questions, distributed newsletters for those not already on the mailing list, and helped customers find just the right gift for people or pets
The Tenth Life is a no-kill cat rescue located in the Dayton, OH area, and with the exception of the veterinarian, it is run entirely by volunteers. In operation since 1984, they have rescued thousands of cats, most of which were able to be adopted out after proper care was administered. Proceeds from sales at the street fair help to support over 450 cats currently cared for at The Tenth Life.
Mercy for Animals was also present at today's street fair, handing out information about their cause and answering questions about their organization. MFA is a national non-profit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals as well as promoting compassionate food choices and policies.
What the Rock?!, the Columbus-based shop with up-cycled jewelry, fun kitchen and other items, and fun novelty gifts, brought along hilarious dog squeak toys that looked like zombie feet!
If you missed today's street fair, you'll have to wait until June for the next Yellow Springs street fair.
