The tax man a cometh

Well, it's April 15th, and by the lines at the post office I can tell that it must be tax day.  A day we get to give our money to Uncle Sam for not representing us.  When I look at the state of our nation and how poorly our government is run, it makes me question why I pay taxes.  I just don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

But then I remember Jesus' words that we should render to Ceasar what is Ceasar's and to God what is God's.  So I guess I'm paying my taxes to not only be a good citizen but also to obey God's Word.  I am to be subject to those in authority over me, including the government.
