On tonight’s episode the ingredients were, what for most might be unsavory cuts of meat; guts. Yes, for immunity they were given two hours to cook a spoonful for the judges Frederic Morin and David McMillan, chefs and owners of Joe Beef Montreal.
They all tackle the challenge with passion and once the finished products were presented, to the eye they all looked delicious. However, there could only be one winner, and yes indeed Gregg once again won immunity. And, so the talented chef who wins week after week took the other chefs and even the mentors, other than Ludo, back.
Then it was time for the mentors to judge and while a handful came on top, those who missed the mark found themselves on the chopping block and for three of them it would mean the end of the road. Ironically, Gregg wound up cooking one of the worse dishes and if it had not been for the immunity he won earlier, he could have easily been eliminated. The bottom four were Adam from Malarkey’s Kitchen, Uno and Ninamarie from Anthony’s Kitchen, and Lauren who is the sole chef remaining from Nigella’s Kitchen.
And then the eliminations began Adam was sent home along with Ninamarie and Uno, and Lauren was saved by the slightest difference and slid into the semifinal. Next week promises to be a great episode where only four will remain to go to the finale. ‘The Taste’ runs on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC.
