'The Taste': The semifinal all about seduction

There were 7 chefs left tonight for the semifinals and by the end of the night only four would remain to participate in the finale. For the Team Taste Test each member of the team would prepare one spoonful of seduction using at least one of the main ingredients, but only one spoonful would be presented to the guest judge who was Ingrid Hoffmann Restaurateur & T.V. Personality. The winning team would have the guest judge to assist them in the kitchen for the Solo Taste Test.

Team Ludo for the fourth time in a row won with Sarah’s dish, and then they all were on their way to the Farmer’s Market where to purchase what they required for their dish that had to have seduction written all over and of course wow the judges visual and taste wise.

A handful of the chefs had a clear idea as to what they would prepare and others teetered on the verge of destruction, by choosing ingredients that just did not seem seductive at all. Lauren, the only surviving member in Nigella’s kitchen chose octopus and thought that by making it spicy it would rise up to the challenge, it didn’t and she was sent home. Paul from Ludo’s kitchen missed the mark as well and he also was eliminated, then it was between Jeff from Malarkey’s team and Diane the only member remaining from team Bourdain, and though the decision was not unanimous at the end Jeff was the third victim. Kristianne was praised by every single one of the mentors on a dish that was spectacular.

The finale will run next Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC when the first winner of “The Taste” will be crowned.
