The Taste: The sandwich is raised to a whole new level

Tonight’s episode was all about sandwiches, the beloved snack that we all believe ourselves to be masters of. But 'The Taste', this simple late night snack was raised to a whole new level of mastery and sensational ingredients.

First came the immunity and advantage challenge that Gregg from Team Ludo won, and then everyone set out to create masterpieces of the humble yet fascinating sandwich. Team Bourdain who still has all four members on his team had a target on them, not just from the judges and other cooks but from themselves as well due to having a lot to prove. Team Malarkey with three members left decided that tonight would be their night, and Team Nigella with only two members remaining just hoped that no one else from her team would leave.

And then came judging time, and it is always hilarious to watch Ludo and Malarkey go at each other, the former believes himself a master in everything to do with cooking and tries to preach to everybody else, and Malarkey who loves to have fun, just makes fun of the renowned French chef Ludo. Nevertheless, their antics are amusing and a delight to watch.

Team Ludo kept his three chefs, and so did Malarkey, Anthony Bourdain had to send Mia home, thus saving Diane who also was in the bottom, and Team Nigella lost yet another member Huda, who served raw chicken an unforgivable mistake.
Only 10 chefs remain, and this show that runs on Tuesday, next week will change to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC, and it promises much excitement in the following weeks as the bar is raised higher for what only one chef can reach and that is being the first winner of 'The Taste'.
