Ludo Lefebvre, Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson are back, and Marcus Samuelsson joins them at the judge's table. Many recognize Marcus from his other reality TV stints on the “Top Chef” franchise. Lefebvre teases that Samuelsson “knows what he's doing” and people will want to watch out for him. How will he be as a mentor? Many are guessing he'll have a magic touch, but everybody will have to tune in to see if that's truly the case.
While many have perceived Samuelsson to be somewhat mild-mannered, Lefebvre teases that both he and Marcus are extremely competitive, and things really heat up between the two of them. It seems the basics of “The Taste” are the same this season in terms of the competition, but the addition of Samuelsson to the judge's panel and new contestants should make it a fun season. Tune in to season 2 of “The Taste” beginning Thursday, Jan. 2 on ABC.
