'The Talk': Steve Burton to appear to make huge announcement

Fans of Steve Burton who are wondering what's next for the actor will get their answer when the actor makes an appearance on CBS's "The Talk" on Monday, January 7. The show airs live at 1 p.m. Eastern.

Burton, who played popular character Jason Morgan on ABC's "General Hospital" for nearly 19 years, is said to be joining the cast of "The Young and the Restless" according to TV Guide. Speculation is that the Emmy Award winning actor will confirm TV Guide's report on the talker co- hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and "Y & R" super fan Sheryl Underwood. Burton will once again be working with friend and former "GH" executive producer Jill Ferran Phelps who took over as show runner for "The Young and the Restless" last year after a lengthy stint at "General Hospital."

Actor Matthew Perry from NBC's "Go On," is scheduled to guest on the show as well.

"The Talk" airs Weekdays on CBS.
