The Super Pet Expo is on the move. The next event will take place March 15-17, 2013, at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, Virginia.
The event is billed as the premiere shopping extravaganza showcasing lots of cool pet products not traditionally found in pet stores. It is also an animal education and entertainment destination offering fun and unique opportunities to learn more about various pets and wildlife through shows, exhibits and interactive activities suitable for the whole family.
“We are happy to stage our next event in the Washington D.C. Metro area,” said Eric Udler, president, Super Pet Expo. “The event is sponsored by Evo pet food, and featured this year will be more than 150 pet-related vendors offering everything from clothes and jewelry to pet supplies and furniture. Many shelter and rescue groups will also participate.”
Event highlights will include:
Echo the Singing and Talking Bird: Accompanied by owner Sarah Hoeft, watch Echo talk, sing, laugh, cry, party and even speak Spanish. Echo is a 15 year old effervescent double yellow headed Amazon parrot.
Dock Diving: Fueled by EVO: Witness world class Frisbee dogs soar through the air into a 30,000 gallon swimming pool and zip through agility courses.
Rescue Ink: Rescue Ink is widely known as a group of tattooed, motorcycle-riding tough guys who have joined together to fight animal cruelty, educate abusers and help resolve situations other rescue groups cannot or will not handle themselves.
Dog Agility Classes: Kathy Benner with The Animals’ House will teach obedience and agility classes right at the show. Take a class with your dog and watch local dogs whiz through an agility course.
Bobby G Pets: Get up close to snakes, turtles, alligators and more with Matt Butler. He takes a fun, informative and educational approach to show everyone the environmental value of reptiles.
Extreme Reptiles Exhibit: This is a one-of-a-kind venomous snake exhibit. Animals include cobras, giant pythons, boa constrictors, anacondas, vipers and more (additional fee)
