Welcome to another edition of The Sunday Funnies, a regular feature dedicated to the lighter side of life. This week’s edition features Atlanta resident Jeff Foxworthy who may not be Smarter Than a 5th Grader, but who is certainly a champion for causes that affect families right here in our hometown. The comedian who made “You Might be a Redneck If…” a popular saying throughout the country is a huge champion for causes that affect Atlanta families, including North Fulton Community Charities. Last week Jeff Foxworthy performed a free concert to benefit NFCC to raise critical funds for families who need hope and dignity in times of crisis. The annual fundraiser was a huge success, mainly due to the participation of one of Atlanta’s most famous and funniest residents.
Jeff Foxworthy is the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee and best selling author of 11 books. And guess what? He calls Atlanta his home base. The Georgia native resides in North Atlanta with his wife and two daughters. Widely known for his redneck jokes and the TV series Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, Jeff Foxworthy also has a popular standup comedy act that explores the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature.
Atlanta resident, dad and general overall do-gooder Jeff Foxworthy has been married to wife Pamela Gregg since 1985. They have two daughters, Jordan (born in 1992) and Julianne (born in 1994). Both children attend Atlanta area schools.
Atlanta parents thank Jeff Foxworthy for his commitment to our hometown and for the many reasons he keeps us laughing. For these reasons, he is the “Sunday Funnies Champion of the Week.”

Thank you so much for writing this article. We have been friends with the Foxworthy family for many years. I knew Jeff when he worked for IBM and everyone there told him he was crazy to leave such a good paying job to seek a career in the comedy word. My son and his brother were roommates at Duke. They are all just a wonderful, wonderful family. Pat at Atlanta Faith and Family

I have always been a fan of Jeff Foxworthy's comedy but I am now a bigger fan of his actions way from the stage.

The smarter than a 5th grader is one of the most interactive shows on the air today. I love to watch it and play along with my kids. Thank you Mr. Foxworthy for setting a good example for my children based on your actions.
Foxworthy along with Smoltz have a history of helping out folks on the Northside of Atlanta.
