Come with a thirst for wine and an open mind. Your taste buds will thank you. Not only wine lovers will enjoy a day of taste testing. Wine, beer, bourbon, and spirits are featured throughout the weekend at Mohegan Sun.
The 10th annual Sun WineFest will feature events Friday, January 25 through Sunday, January 27. The main attraction is the Grand Tasting held on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Sample beer, wine, and spirits from over 1,000 different brands. This event will take place at the Convention Center inside Mohegan Sun. Saturday's day pass is $80, Sunday's day pass is $70, or a combined weekend pass for $125 per person.
Entertainment will help the day fly by, as if sipping some of the best wines and spirits wouldn't. The grape stomp competition will be featured Saturday at the Uncas Ballroom main stage from 4:00 to 4:45 pm. Watch 16 teams compete to stomp the most juice out of grapes. Sunday's featured entertainment is the Oyster Open from 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm. Admission is included with your Grand Tasting admission cost. This competition will also take place at the Uncas Ballroom main stage.
Your last alternative to a wine weekend is Friday night's bourbon tasting. From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm indulge in bourbons including Jim Bean, Booker's, and Knob Week at SolToro Tequila Grill. Pair your favorite drink with a cigar sampling from Adonis Cigar. Admission cost is $90 per person.
