We just had a Full Moon on January 15 in Cancer. We had quite a bit of cloud cover in Oakland, Bergen County but if you were lucky enough to see it, the Moon was in her glory near sparkling Jupiter. Perhaps some of you enjoyed a romantic evening in the moonlight!

We have had the Sun, Venus, Pluto and until recently Mercury all in Capricorn so there has been an emphasis on that sign and all activities related to it. These are big business, real estate, finance, corporations, politics, government, authority and all levels of organization and practical matters. It just occurred to me that all that flap in the news about the 3-day traffic jam at the GW Bridge in Fort Lee back in September, “Bridgegate”, has Pluto and Capricorn written all over it. The repercussions went all the way to the top. Governor Christie was just a little embarrassed. Politics, government and authority. Now heads are rolling. It’s interesting how only now the incident came to light when the Sun joined up with Pluto in Capricorn. The Sun lights things up you see. And Pluto brings down those who have it coming to them.

Right now there isn’t a whole lot going on with the planets. Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are all slowing down in their respective places. On January 20 the Sun will move into Aquarius and light up other things. Mercury is already there and on the move. Aquarius rules humanitarian issues, revolution, changes in technology, electricity, astrology and anything eccentric or off the beaten path. This is a good time to buy a new phone or laptop. There may be an important new invention or discovery in the news. You may have an unusual idea worth looking into.

Reminder: The Market Basket in Franklin Lakes, Bergen County has a nice selection of soups and other hearty entrees to warm you up on a cold winter’s night. Stop in and treat yourself!
