The Project
The Yellow Wood is a new film project on IndieGoGo. Created by Jen Derwingson, a writer/director from Los Angeles, California, this film asks "What if you could go back in time to the moment when everything in your life changed? ...And then, change it back. Should you travel the road not taken?"
Like all good crowdfunding projects, there is a video which draws you into the project. The description says more about the film and why it is being made. It also says why your contribution is important, and it is not just about making this film!
The Passion
According to Jen, "The Yellow Wood is, to use an overused term of art, my baby. It is a passion project. It came at a time when I was writing quirky character driven comedies, like a gift directly from the supernatural thriller muse."

The Opportunities
There are several reasons to contribute to this project. You get to be part of a team that is putting together a special film. You get to support someone else's passion to make a stellar independent film.
Even the perk levels make you feel like part of the team with names like Make-Up Artist, Grip, Electrician and Gaffer.
The Yellow Wood just started on the crowdfunding site IndieGoGo. They have a $15,000 goal of which they currently have $3,530.
