FX’s “The Strain” became an instant hit with shocking surprises and thrills since day one. Now on its sixth episode, fans can't wait to see how the vampiric events will unfold. On Friday, Spoiler TV released the preview for episode six, “Occultation.” Spoilers are ahead if you are not caught up to “The Strain.”

The official synopsis for “Occultation” is: After warning Kelly to leave the city with Zack ahead of the spreading plague, Eph will get arrested by the FBI. Eichorst is going to have one final job for Gus, while Setrakian realizes that the coming eclipse will be the tipping point for the virus infection and the beginning of the end.

We last saw Dr. Ephraim on the run from the law with the help of former friend Jim Kent. Dr. Nora Martinez also escaped a virus attack with her mother in tow. According to the source, fans can expect to see the same level of action in this Sunday’s episode.

Not many questions will be answered in “Occultation,” but the source says that the amazing scenes between vampires and “our band of heroes” will make up for it. Also, “out of all the episodes so far, this Sunday’s definitely has the most grotesque scenes,” Spoiler TV says. “There is one scene that is cringe-worthy, while some others reminded me of ‘The Walking Dead,” the source says. Fans will also see what happens to these “vampires” when they meet the sun.

Check out the complete preview over at Spoiler TV. “The Strain” episode six, “Occultation,” premieres this Sunday, August 17, on FX. Stay tuned for more spoilers and information as we learn it!
