 Kudos to the stay at home parent. Sometimes it is a difficult decision to stay home. Yet, it is an admirable profession. reports, “Stay at Home Moms would earn $134,121 annually. Working Moms would earn $85,876 annually for the "mom job" portion of their work, in addition to their actual "work job" salary” .They also offer a unique way to calculate mom's worth and print her a "paycheck"

A growing number of dads are staying home these days. According to goverment statistics, there are now 200,000 men staying at home full-time to look after their kids or home. They can be just as effective.

A stay at home parent makes choices that can impact the environment. They cook meal with less waste. They produce less pollution by not commuting to work. Frugal choices such as hanging the laundry on the line can cut carbon emissions. A parent can grow a vegetable garden in order to truly eat locally. Stay at home parents can make less toxic choices, such as making their own household cleaners. They often repair broken items, instead of buying new ones. Families can borrow books from the library, instead of buying new ones. The examples they can pass on to their children can be priceless.
