There’s a fundamental difference between Patriots and the Statists. The (educated) Patriot believes that you’re innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and the Statist that you’re guilty the moment we decide you are. The Statist believes that in order to protect society from all the ills of human behavior; you must succumb to all manner of the Statists divine control and all will be well.

Through the use of this anti-civil rights approach, the Statists vie for control of our country through polluting the minds of the uneducated majority. For example, MSNBC ran several stories in the last few days using their normal lexicon of fear and speech control concerning the tragic murdering of innocent law-abiding citizens (and those trying to become) of the United States and other countries.

In addition the Statist always has a scapegoat and it’s almost always the Patriot or said patriots liberty & freedom of choice. The sad fact is that blaming an object for a crime committed by a human is just as insane as the Statists claims that somehow controlling access to that object at the expense of liberty and freedom will somehow result in their long sought utopia. A utopia that the Patriot knows will never exist on this planet due to the fact that humans are - after all - imperfect.

For example, MSNBC headlines run with titles like “Licensed to kill Gunmen in killings had permits” and “Has America become numb to tragedy” as if the sole intent of law-abiding citizens, who go through the extensive, Un-Constitutional, permitting and licensing process only have one thing their minds – murder. The last time I checked, murder was also against the law and the object used in committing such a crime has little to do with its unlawfulness.

Groups such as Vogel's, and the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, say existing laws are already too weak — just look at the men who received gun permits, legally bought high-powered weapons, and then mowed down family, friends and total strangers in these past few weeks, they say.

Would the carnage have been any less, had those people been “mowed” down with low-powered weapons? Dead is dead, stabbed, shot, run-over, it doesn’t matter. However, by shifting the focusing on the object instead of the perpetrators wrong doing, they stir up emotion and shift the essence of the debate to give them the home court advantage.

The Statist, being so obsessed with the object of their utopian passion and lust for control over other human beings and they way they live their lives also chooses to ignore facts that would otherwise shine a spotlight on their failed holy-grail quest to end human suffering and death at the hands of other humans.

Something like 200,000 of us will experience “cessation of life” due to medical errors – botched procedures, mis-prescribed drugs and “nosocomial infections”. (The really nasty ones you get from treatment in a hospital or healthcare service unit.)

Yet the battle cry sounds and the rage boils over the loss to humanity of 30,000 dead citizens per year in a population of 330 million where nearly 54% of these deaths are suicides.

Finally we have the object control laws themselves, which did nothing to prevent the events witnessed by this nation in the past several weeks. In truth, these laws as “crime control” are a fraud. Most cannot be applied to criminals – only to the law-abiding. A law which restricts the liberty of the innocent because of the behavior of the guilty, that rests on the principle that the conduct of criminals dictates the scope of liberty the law will allow to the rest of society, in no sense “fights” crime.
 

We’ve seen that proven too many times the past several weeks and it’s time to put an end to the anti-civil rights rhetoric, the Statists view, and make the majority of the public aware of their failure.
