In the final round of the regular season the Kansas City Golf Association’s State Line Amateur Tour took to the course at Falcon Ridge Golf Course in Lenexa, Kan. on Tuesday September 24. Falcon Ridge is an 18-hole championship course that measures from 5,160 yards on the forward tee to 6,820 yards on the black tees.
In the Open Division gross scoring Michael Greene took first place with a six under par 66. Greene played a bogey free round to lead the field by four strokes. Mark Terranova finished at two under par 70 to take second place. One stroke back of Terranova was third place finisher Luke Lutgen.
Michael Greene held on to first place with an adjusted score of three under par 69 in the Open Division net scoring. Lutgen moved to second with a one under par round. Terranova, Ben David Kimminau and Brent Mertz finished with adjusted scores of one over par to tie for third.
In the Players Division gross scoring Jamie Lyndes was the only player to post an under par round, with a 71 and finished in first place. Second place resulted in a four way tie between Tom Pickert, Jeff Mott, Kurt Lorenzen and Dale Nash all posting scores of one over par 72.
In net scoring for the Players Division Dale Nash had an adjusted score of eight under par 64 to finish in first place. In second place and one stroke back was Lyndes at 65. Third place resulted in a tie between Pickert and Timothy Wilcoxon at four under par.
John Samples finished at five under par 67 to take first place in the Senior Division gross scoring. Second place resulted in a tie between George Watermann and Steve Groom, shooting even par rounds of 72. Groom earlier this year won the Kansas City Match Play Championship at Swope Memorial Golf Course.
Watermann moved from second to first place with an adjusted score of four under par 68 in the Senior Division net scoring. Samples moved to second place with an adjusted score of three under par and Berwyn Sasek finished in third at two under par.
The Legends Division gross scoring was won by Don Kuehn with a two under par 70. One stroke back was Jim Lodes with a 71. Third place went to Jim Archer posting a round of two over par.
In the Legend Division net scoring Lodes moved to first place with an adjusted score of seven under par 65. Archer moved up a spot to second with a score of six under par. Third place went to James Woods at four under par 68. Kuehn dropped to a three way tie for third with an adjusted score of one under par 71.
The State Line Amateur Tour next plays the Tour Championship at Stone Canyon in Blue Springs on Oct. 4 and 5.
