The State Line Amateur Tour faces down Meadowbrook Country Club

The State Line Amateur Tour set their sights on the Meadowbrook Country Club in Prairie Village on Monday July 21. Meadowbrook Country Club is located in Prairie Village, Kan. and plays from 4876 yards on the forward tees to 6569 yards on the championship tees.

Brent Mertz shot a three over par 74 to finish in first place in the Open Division gross scoring. Second place resulted in a tie at four over par between Jason Cross and Josh Weems. In net scoring, Tim Swanson finished in first place posting an adjusted score of two over par 73. Mertz dropped to second at three over par and Cross took third at four over par.

In the Players Division gross scoring Mark Worthey, Chris Meyer, and Wes Lowe tied for first place posting six over pars 77. Net scoring concluded with Dale Hotop finishing at five under par 66 for first place, while Wes Lowe took second at three under par. Brian Moeller had an adjusted score of even par to finish in third place.

Andy Smith and Rob Gleissner shot one over par 72 for first place in the Senior Divison gross scoring. Frank Book shot a three over par 74 to finish in third place. Smith remained in first place in net scoring with an adjusted score of two under par 69. Gleissner dropped to second one stroke back of Smith. Third place resulted in a three-way tie between Rod Michalka, Frank Booth, and Brian Hairston.

In the Legends Division gross scoring Ron Brewer shot three over par 74 for first place. Jim Lodes took second place with a five over par finish and Mitch Bowen finished in third place one stroke back of Lodes. An adjusted score of three under par put Frank Muehlbach in first place for net scoring. Brewer dropped to second at two under par and John E. Pawsat finished in third at one under par.

Lindsey Mateer finished in first place of the Women’s Division gross scoring with a seven over par 78. Jettie Bezek held second place at eight over par and at 21 over par, Karen Shippy finished in third place. Bezek moved up a slot to first place at even par in the net scoring and Mateer dropped to second at five over par. Shippy remained in third place at eight over par.

The State Line Amateur Tour next tees it up at The Golf Club at Creekmoor on August 14.
