Race season is officially underway in the Midwest. And the Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association kicks off their season with the GingerMan Spring Brake Driver's School and races May 3-6, in South Haven, Michigan. Being a spectator from Milwaukee is easier than you think, thanks to the Lake Express High Speed Ferry.

Only 2 1/2 hours coast to coast, you can leave your traffic jam worries behind and just enjoy the ride and the view from the deck as you watch Milwaukee fade into the west horizon. Plus the Lake Express can also take your vehicle or motorcycle across as well. So once you reach Muskegon, Michigan, you can drive the just over 60 miles to GingerMan Raceway in South Haven. And with two departure times daily, you won't have to miss any racing action.

Plus being located on the east coast of Lake Michigan, South Haven has plenty of attractions, restaurants and places to stay. For visitor information visit SouthHaven.com.

If you're not fazed by Chicago traffic and road-tripping to a vintage road race is more your style, the drive is only four hours down and around.
