Welcome to the March 14 edition of The Start Button, a weekly news short article aimed at bringing you quick and fun video gaming news to start your Monday morning.

This will be the last edition of the Start Button to appear under the "Denton Arcade Game Examiner" header. Starting with a feature article later today this writer is going to National here at Examiner.com. More on that after the rest of the news.

Donkey Kong Champion Picks His Winner

With the Kong Off event in New Jersey just days away, Donkey Kong Champion Hank Chien has told the Arcade Game Examiner that he is predicting former champion Steve Wiebe to win the 10-man Donkey Kong contest.

Richie Knucklez, the owner of the location of the Kong Off, picked Chien in a recent interview. As reported here first on Friday, Chien recently beat his own Donkey Kong World Record with a score of 1,090,400 points.

Be sure to read where to subscribe to my new National title at the end of this article so you can find out later this week who Steve Wiebe is picking to win this very same event in an exclusive interview with Arcade Game Examiner.

NFL Drama Not Effecting Madden NFL 12

The annual release of the newest Madden NFL game will not be impacted if the real-life football season is cancelled or delayed in 2011, according to EA Sports.

Madden NFL 12 will also still contain rookie players who are chosen in this year's NFL Draft and, for the first time ever, Chicago's Soldier Field will finally appear officially in a Madden game title.

Going National

Starting today this place on the 'net is going National here on Examiner.com under a new title - Arcade Game Examiner.

The now-daily articles and interviews with people and events across gaming will begin to appear in that space starting later today.

The Denton Arcade Game Examiner space will remain, so your bookmarks and backlinks to the stories that have appeared here since 2009 will remain in tact. Some new content will still continue to appear under this tag as well when relevant to the North Texas area.

Be sure to subscribe to Arcade Game Examiner to be the first to see the latest stories you've come to enjoy in this space and thanks to all the readers for making the National move possible.
