It's an hour before the biggest night of the year for the acting community and the stars came dressed to impressed. The stars walked the 85th Annual Academy Awards red carpet at the Hollywood & Highland Center and so far the looks are pretty tame.
Royal blue seems to be an early trend. The youngest nominee in Oscar history Quvenzhane Wallis looked all grown up in sparkly blue dress and a covered up with a satin-like royal blue wrap. She completed the look with her trademark puppy purse and even made sure it was dressed up with a tiara.
Reese Witherspoon chose a royal blue strapless dress with a strip of black right at her bust-line and lining her upper torso. Her long blonde hair harkened to old Hollywood and reminded us all of the femme fatale.
Best Actress nominee Jessica Chastain also went with old hollywood glamour with her ginger locks. She wore a sparkling nude strapless gown and paired it striking red lips.
Amy Adams also rocked her red hair with a flowing feathered gray dress and is already in contention for best dressed.
