Town Criers Back on St. George Street
The St. Augustine Tea Party’s Town Crier Committee has a unique opportunity to engage the public. In the historical area of St. Augustine, Florida welcomes visitors from all over the Country on a year-round basis. This gives the Town Criers an opportunity to connect face-to-face with the people to see what concerns them politically.
56 Continual Weeks of Service
After 56 continual weeks of service prior to the election, the committee decided to give its members a well deserved rest. The last time the Town Criers engaged the public in the historic district was on November 17, 2012 for the festive ‘Nights of Lights’ event. According to a Town Crier spokesman, “The extended holiday was used to evaluate future activities for the committee.”
Obama’s exploitation of the tragedy at Sandy Hook creates Constitutional crisis……
Obama’s exploitation of the tragedy at Sandy Hook, and his arrogant insistence not to waste a crisis by assaulting the Second Amendment, has provided the issue that can unite Americans in their defense of the Constitution. A Town Crier spokesman said, “America is arming. The nationwide ammo shortages reflect this. Americans know that uncertain times lie ahead. They are preparing. Obama has sold more guns and ammo than he will be able to confiscate should it come to that. The people that the Criers are meeting on St. George Street have no intention to disarm regardless as to what Obama or the Congress does. Numerous people volunteered that they were adding to their ammo supplies and are concerned with the shortages.”
The Second Amendment signs were received by the public with great enthusiasm. Obama may have created an issue that he will live to regret. The Town Criers believe that an armed public will not submit to his Communist agenda. The Country is at a crossroads. The Progressive agenda cannot be fully implemented with the Second Amendment and the Constitution intact.
Non Compliance to the Progressive Agenda may soon be the Future….
The Resistance Begins: New York Gun Owners Refuse to Register
The Town Criers reported that a disproportional number of visitors this weekend came up to the Criers and identified themselves as New Yorkers. Some of them are pictured below. The general consensus is that Gov. Cuomo and the New York Legislators may have set into motion the greatest act of civil disobedience in New York State’s history.
People from other parts of the country who approached the Town Criers suggested that they will not register anything that the United States Constitution guarantees you cannot ‘infringe’ upon. Public comments clearly show that the concept of an armed populace is deeply rooted in the American spirit. And, they clearly understand that it is not about hunting and sport shooting. Obama, the Congress and the United States Supreme Court need to take note. Bill Clinton recently made reference to this emotional fact.
The disarming of a population is a major plank in the ‘Communist Manifesto’.
On St. George Street in St. Augustine, Florida, the public is speaking loud and clear. “Back off the 2nd Amendment.”
The pictures here only represent a small part of the photographic activity of the day. Large numbers of photographs were taken by the public for Face-book, distribution. In between the photographic sessions, the committee distributes pocket editions of the U.S. Constitution. The numbers of Constitutions distributed have greatly increased since the election. The question is, remarked a Town Crier, “Will Americans fight for liberty? We believe these people will.”
Will the American People be led to the slaughter like sheep, or will they stand and fight?
