One of the most popular events in recent years returns to the Nassau Coliseum this March. The Spring Craft Beer Festival will be held for eighth time at the venue, with two sessions on March 22nd. The art of beer brewing has become very popular in recent years, and the festival gives beer lovers an opportunity to sample more than 100 fine concoctions from breweries on Long Island and across the country.
Beer enthusiasts rejoice as this annual event brings together more than 50 brewers from across the country offering samples of their finest. This year's lineup will be the festival's biggest ever, featuring more than 100 of the finest beers out there. New for this year the Shipyard Brewing Company will be sponsoring a "Silent Disco," where the music is pumped not through headphones, but through wireless speakers, giving even spectators a special experience.
The festival takes place on Saturday, March 22nd and runs for two sessions, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 9 p.m. Admission comes at a pay one price of just $45 (add $10 the day of the event) and visitors receive a 5 oz. souvenir tasting glass, and the opportunity to taste 2 oz. samples from the many brewers on hand. The center of the exhibition hall will serve as a "beer garden" for guests to relax and hang out with friends.
Food, soft drinks, demonstrations and other special events will also take place at the show. Only those aged 21 and over will be allowed to attend and ID will be checked at the door. Tickets for designated drivers are just $12 and the price per person goes up to $55 at the door, so purchase tickets in advance at the Spring Craft Beer Festival to get the cheaper price.
