The moment you enter the Santa's Lodge it's like walking into a magical cabin, filled with delightful decorations and holiday cheer. We were greeted by the friendly staff, who shared news on the evenings events and festivities, and all the details on amenities. They were also so helpful with directions to local attractions and other celebrations taking places during our weekend visit.
This evening we had the pleasure of joining Santa for dinner. We could feel the anticipation in the air as we all took our seats in the Celebration Room, which can be used for many different types of events. Once we were all settled in and enjoying our meal, Santa took the stage with Mrs. Claus and welcomed children to share their Christmas wishes. It was such a memorable event, and there was more festivities yet come.
After dinner we followed Santa's Elves outside to the grand Christmas Tree for a special Tree Lighting Ceremony. Before counting down to the lighting of the tree we sang carols and took lots of photos. Then, the moment came to begin the count down - 1, 2, 3, and the smiles and bright eyes of the children were just as beautiful as the lights sparkling on the Christmas Tree.
Later, in the evening we returned to our room that a very spacious and comfortable suite with a whirlpool, kitchenette and dining area, sofa and television in the living area and bedroom. We loved it because we could gather with friends and family in the living area. The suites are also great for families because when the children are tired you can lay them down in the separate room. Santa's Lodge is in the perfect location because as we realized, everything is so close in Santa Claus, Indiana.
