The Spa @ Equinox has found the perfect remedy to counteract the upcoming cold weather. The Thermal Ice Facial, which will be available in Boston starting September 2013 at the Dartmouth and Franklin Street locations, offers a juxtaposition of hot and cold skin therapy where pores are penetrated and impurities are removed leaving the skin rehydrated and rejuvenated.
The 50-minute service includes a standard conditioning facial followed by the application of a cool mask made of seaweed with vitamins A, B, C, E & K, folic acid and niacin. The mask heats up to 107 degrees once applied to the skin, and then begins to cool down as it hardens. As the mask hardens, collagen penetrates the skin helping to heal, tone, remineralize and oxygenate the skin.
“At The Spa @ Equinox we are constantly looking to bring customized spa services to our customers. The Thermal Ice Facial is the perfect customized spa service, especially for the winter. Not only does the facial minimize signs of premature aging but also its cooling and warming effect work together to heal signs of weathered skin from the colder, harsher months,” said Nicole Vitale, Senior Director of The Spa @ Equinox.
What better way to fight the cold than giving it a taste of its own medicine? Beginning September 2013 the 50 minute Thermal Ice Facial is available for $185. All spagoers to The Spa @ Equinox have access to the fitness clubs on the day of their spa visit. Please note: this facial is not recommended for anyone with seafood allergies, iodine allergies, rosacea or couperose skin conditions.
