South City Concert Series

In an effort to keep revenue circulating within the community, arts and cultural centers are cropping up in almost every metropolitan city in Georgia. Atlanta boosts several venues in which patrons can enjoy art, music, movies, and take personal development classes such as the Southwest Arts Center. Decatur has its state of the art venue, Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center, and now the City of Riverdale has thrown its hat into the ring with its vibrant arts and cultural affairs venue, which will play host to the South City Concert Series this Saturday, July 21, 2012.

Meli’sa Morgan, the Dazz Band, and Freddie Jackson will serenade, caress, and croon hearts and ears away underneath a fade to dark, starlit-filled sky from 8:00 – 11:00 pm. There is no need to bring chairs as the amphitheater has plenty of seating available. No coolers or food are allowed inside, but vendors are available for those who wish to quench their thirsts and appetites.

This concert is for the grown at heart; for those who truly love and appreciate good, old-school music. So men, iron up those linen suits and dust off your brims. Ladies, pull out those sexy sundresses. Bring your smiles, good attitudes, and be prepared to celebrate a great time at The Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center, 7200 Church Street, Riverdale, GA 30274.

Ticket prices vary – $15 advance general admission / $25 day of show; $25 VIP Pit/Terrace / $35 day of the show – but can be purchased at the information desk of the venue, online, or on the day of the show.

(This is a rain or shine event, and the forecast is calling for a 50% chance of rain, but don't let that deter you. Come armed with the essentials - an umbrella, a slicker, a towel - and let's get wet together).
