It’s time to celebrate all things beer!
This year, LA Beer Week runs from September 19 through September 29.
Since the South Bay has become the epicenter of beer brewing, it’s only natural that there will be all sorts of beer events in the area.
In honor of LABW, Hot’s Kitchen presents a Beer Dinner paired with premium handcrafted ales from Strand Brewing Company on Wednesday, September 18 at 7 p.m. The cost is $55 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity. Select Beer Store kicks off LA Beer Week on Thursday, September 19 with a special event featuring beers from Dogfish Head. They’ll be pouring a great line-up, including 120 Minute IPA and Bitches Brew. Let’s Be Frank will be on-site serving up gourmet sausages and hot dogs.
On Saturday, September 21, Select Beer Store is partnering with Brewco Manhattan Beach, Silvios Brazillian BBQ and Naja’s Place for the first ever South Bay Progressive. Each establishment will feature a different brewery (Great Divide at Select Beer; The Bruery at Naja’s; Smog City at Silvios; Stone at Brewco) and shuttle service from LA Craft Beer Tours will be available between 4 and 11 p.m. to safely take participants between the stops. Select Beer Store will also be featuring Wyatt’s BBQ, cooked fresh on-site.
Select Beer concludes LA Beer Week on Sunday, September 29 with the Allagash and Pie event. They have a great line-up of limited release beers from Allagash to pair with freshly made savory and sweet pies from I Heart Pies. Tin Roof Bistro hosts Close Your Eyes and Think of England: Southbay Brewers Cask Ale Event on Saturday, September 21 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. One-off casks will be poured from all of the South Bay breweries including Smog City, Monkish, El Segundo, Brewery at Abigailes and Strand! On Saturday, September 21, Barsha Wines & Spirits is teaming up with Celebrity Chef Adam Gertler and The Dudes’ Brewing Company for a one-night-only Oktoberfest pop-up dinner, The Wurst Oktoberfest, from 6 to 10 p.m. Adam Gertler will feature four different sausages from his line of Gertler’s Wurst which will be paired with craft beer from The Dudes’ Brewing Company in Torrance. Abigaile Restaurant presents Meet the Brewer Open House on Monday, September 23 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Come and meet Brian Brewer, Brewmaster at The Brewery at Abigaile, during this special LA Beer Week gathering. The event will feature tastings of The Brewery at Abigaile beers as well as limited tours of the brewing facility. There will be specials on all The Brewery at Abigaile beers, including the LABW-exclusive Tangerine Honey Ginger Wit release. There will also be complimentary food tastings from Chef Tin Vuong. Abigaile is also hosting a LABW Tasting Dinner on Wednesday, September 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. Each course will be paired with an appropriate beer and they’ll be featuring Tangerine Honey Ginger Wit along with a selection of rare in-house barrel-aged beers. Jackson’s Food & Drink is celebrating their first year anniversary on Tuesday, September 24 smack in the middle of LA Beer Week with Fizzy Yellow Beer is for Wussies. Chef Matt Strong is teaming up with Stone Brewing Company to offer a five course beer dinner that will knock your socks off. A true highlight of the dinner will be the addition of Stone’s ‘Enjoy By’ IPA which will only be 3 days old when patrons sit down to enjoy this exciting meal. On Tuesday, September 24, Rock & Brews PCH is offering a Craft Beer Dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Torrance location. On Saturday, September 28, Rarest of the Rare takes place at the Smog City Taproom from noon to 8 p.m. This blow-out event features Porter’s renowned barrel-aged beers, sour beers and experimentals.
