For many gamers, a large part of any Grand Theft Auto game lies inside the series' licensed music found within the many different radio stations of the Rockstar Games franchise. After the release of the official GTA 5 trailer this past week, the developer revealed new information regarding the music of the upcoming game on Friday.
There will be 15 different music stations for Grand Theft Auto V fans listening pleasure as well as to two talk radio stations which will undoubtedly offer Rockstar Games’ personal brand of satirical humor. Each station will cover a different genre of music which, as players might expect, means there will be a wide range choice to cover a diverse set of musical tastes. There have been 240 licensed songs confirmed to appear throughout the game’s 15 radio stations.
In addition to the music experienced while browsing the radio of Grand Theft Auto V, the game will also feature an original scored soundtrack which is a first for the open-world franchise. The score will play at almost any point of the game, such as when players are on a mission or just enjoying the title’s open-world play.
Grand Theft Auto V launches on Sept 17 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Those who purchase the game will also gain access to the title's multiplayer mode when GTA Online becomes available on Oct 1 as part of a free update.
