The Sounds have a steady cult following for nearly ten years which has led to moderate success in the US with four albums and such singles like “Living in America”, “Painted By Numbers” and “Tony The Beat” . Their latest album, Something To Die For, was released back in March of this year. Some of its tracks like “Yeah Yeah Yeah” alongside the title track were featured on horror flick, Scream 4.
This album became their first to be completely produced by the band after their highest-charting third album Crossing The Rubicon, which peaked at #64 on the Billboard 200 in 2009. That year saw them opening for No Doubt’s summer tour.
These days, the guys are keeping it mellow with the promotion, but heavy and energetic on stage. This fall sees them touring with Natalia Kills, The Limousines and Kids At the Bar. The hyper active front woman (Maja) and the rest of the boys claim their shows are “pure energy”.
That much is true.
The guys are stopping by The Black Cat in Washington, DC on November fifth. The tour begins October twelfth in Ft. Lauderdale, touching cities like Orlando, Atlanta, San Francisco, and ends November twenty-second in Vancouver.
