Tonight is "The Sound of Music Live" and everyone is watching it as a family. On Dec. 5, Taste of Country shared how much it cost to make this special that is airing tonight on NBC. Are you watching?

This is a three hour production and is full of big names like Carrie Underwood. Carrie is playing Maria and has been dealing with a lot of criticism about this role. Stephen Moyer of "True Blood" is also starring in the production.

The entire thing is costing them $9 million to do. That is counting the cast payment, the set, and everything else they needed. NBC is not admitting that it cost this much to make but The Hollywood Reporter says that is how much it is costing.

"The Sound of Music Live" will be released on DVD if you want to buy a copy of it. It will air on television at least one more time as well. Carrie Underwood did admit to being nervous about tripping and you can read more here. Please like my Facebook to stay up to date on the latest entertainment news.
