Almost in all of America, you will find at least one television, a game system and a computer per household. As you walk down suburban neighborhoods, you will cease to see the roads crowded with children playing or running around. Instead of children riding their bicycles or rollerblades, or jumping rope outside, they are inside watching reality television shows, napping on the couch or playing vulgar videogames.
There was a time when children would all gather and play recreational activities, regardless of how cold it was outside. All you needed was a ball and a bunch of kids willing to play. This minor detail from our now historical past of our society that has changed the way children grow up and play. Children are growing up in this technologically advanced world devoid of human contact, with the attainment of ‘Learned Laziness’ that has corrupted our youth at increasingly detrimental rates.
The parents today are another categorical disclaimer in terms of this rapid declination of our youth in America. Where are the parents when the kids are left doing nothing, learning to be slothful and sinful more increasingly as the children grow up? What do people expect will occur with children as they become adults, when they are in this world of ease and languor? It is understandable that both parents today must work in order to make ends meet and that is not an unacknowledged truth of today’s society.
Contrariwise, when the parents are with their kids, make some effort to instill some values into your children. How children are raised is so crucial for how the children will become as they grow into adults. If parents allow kids to be lazy and use technology for everything, these parents are only contributing to the inevitable continual decline of our humanity.
Obesity rates are at an all-time high, and violence in our education systems are continuously escalating with no sense of stopping anytime soon. What has happened to this country? America, being a country with the image of hope of a better life and the chance to do more than what our parents did. America, the place where people are good, decent and proud of their country, has only reduced its inventory on qualitative members of society.
And GOD-forbid someone mentions the topic of religion or faith. This is another fascination that strikes most of us observers in today’s world of immediate fluctuation of thought. There will be a time when Christian and Jewish people are more than just a minority in society but rather a ratio of 1 Christian or Jew for every 1 million people. This day is coming where believers in God will be more than a memory but a nonexistent recollection of hope in yesterday’s unapparent existence.
