The Smurfs invade Fort Hood and bringing copies of Smurfs 2 with them

Ever since the little blue creatures known as the Smurfs hit TV screens in 1981 they have cemented themselves into pop culture. After the series went off the air it seemed like that was it for the Smurfs, but then they headed to the big screen in 2011 with a sequel in July of 2013 and exploded all over again.

Now their latest adventure aptly titled Smurfs 2 has Blu-ray and DVD and to celebrate Smurfette and Clumsy Smurf traveled to Fort Hood and passed out ornaments, Shutterfly vouchers, Christmas Tree vouchers, hugs and a special screening of the film at The Palmer Theatre for the military families totaling up about 650 people.

Attached are some picks from this fun event, but the fun doesn’t end there. For those that weren’t able to attend the screening can still enjoy the Smurfy season as Sony is giving us 5 copies of Smurfs 2 on DVD to give away.
