The Smart Mobility Revolution

See also

A decade ago mobile phones had established themselves as the way to keep in touch. Everyone could make a quick call or send a text. The history of the smartphone had not really begun. Once it was realised how much a consumer could get from a pocket sized phone, the revolution took off. Even though there have been a few years of economic stagnation from which the world is just emerging, modern technology has moved on apace.

Indian growth

Almost 900m mobile phones are in circulation in India. It is quite a staggering figure on at least a couple of counts. Firstly, there are still a huge number of people living the simple rural life that they have always led. Secondly, the figure is in sharp contrast to the figure of around only 30m fixed line subscribers.
Even though emerging economies such as India have seen their growth slow down in recent years, the use of mobiles suggests that Indian business has a similar requirement for an infrastructure that can be accessed and utilised by these modern devices. The world is now one marketplace and it is important that every business looks at its internal efficiency for reasons of cost and the tremendous support that 21st century IT can provide.

Business application

Enterprise mobility is an issue that every business should address and find a specialist that can demonstrate its success with clients across the spectrum. The fact that so many people actually access the Internet via mobile devices has actually resulted in website designers realising that they need to design mobile friendly websites that sit comfortably on screens of all sizes. It is logical that people going online using their smartphone can then send emails and reports, access data from their companies and respond, all the activities that in the past they may have done from their desks in an office.

Secure IT Support

Specialists can put in place systems that will allow business to be far more efficient in daily operations of all kinds. Obviously security is an important factor. Password access is an easy way for employees to access their approved areas and work efficiently even if they are on the move. Security goes far beyond the employees of course and every company can get a guarantee that no one will get unauthorised access to its data if they select the right specialist.

While a country such as India has been catching up with more advanced economies of the world, there is still work to do. Expert support can help its businesses catch up even quicker. They will have access to the best of the world’s experts who can provide what is needed and look to how their future provisions may be planned.

It is not the spread of mobiles as such that has reduced the ‘size of the world.’ The Internet really has no geographical or time boundaries. However, the benefits of mobile access to employees who may be based far away in the sub continent should not be underestimated.
