Is this your theatre experience? You go for a pre theatre dinner at a premium restaurant. Your tab for two is $180 with decent wine and tip. Then it’s off to the show where your $200 seats are waiting. That is an impressive $400 for the two of you. So all in all you are spending $580 or more for a great night of theatre fun watching a cast of typically great performers from a safe distance. Fun yes, but there is a better way or if not necessarily a “better” way certainly a more connected way.
Skypilot theatre has announced it annual fund raiser and you can join in. There is gobs of entertainment cabaret style up close and personal. And you will get to meet and greet the entertainers. It is on Friday June 27th, 2014 at the River Rock Lounge in Studio City and it promises an evening under the stars filled with cocktails, live entertainment, a silent auction and raffle prizes. Arrive at 7pm for drinks and stay for live entertainment, cabaret style, performed by SkyPilot Theatre Company members at 8pm and a silent auction immediately following.
All donations are tax-deductible and will be applied to our current season, including our upcoming production of KEITH HARING: PIECES OF A LIFE, opening on Friday, July, 18th.
